Hello Lovely People!

Day 13 went by without a message…the day flew by with one meeting or activity after another! I missed connecting with you! 🙂

And today I will simply suggest that you:

1)  Find 10 minutes to be completely alone. Use that time as you see fit with this one guideline: Whatever you do let it be positive and affirming.

2)  Then find the good in as many people and situations as you can.

Reflect on this goodness.

3)  Compliment often and sincerely…all through the day!

4) Complain about nothing.

Hello Lovely People,

I hope this message reaches you in the best of health.

I’ve got a few questions:

1)    What purpose does complaining serve in your life? (see event wall for Lana’s insightful thoughts on this)

Consider this question seriously. It’s not meant to be a trick question. If you have a habit of complaining chances are it’s filling some void or providing some benefit.

Consider what that might be. Getting to the root of the what’s behind our actions provides valuable insight.

When we cast the light of knowledge and compassion on an issue it’s much more likely to be changed.

Habits are powerful and persistent. Changing them takes persistence, honest assessments, compassion and daily action.

2)   What pains, hurts and unresolved issues exists in your life that might be making it easier to have a complaining mindset?

Honor what exists.

3)   What else can you do to fill the need complaining fills?

4)   What have you been able to accomplish with the space you created by NOT complaining?

5)   What changes do you need to make in your life to maintain a NO COMPLAINING lifestyle?

Suggested activities:

1)   Make a list of all your good and positive qualities – acknowledge and honor these aspects of yourself.

2)   Forgive yourself for all — ALL — of your “mis-takes” All together they’ve added to who you are…which #1 activity says you’re pretty magnificent! 🙂

Hello NON Complainers!

I intended to include the names of those who have posted comments at the event wall, in this message today. I just wanted to say thank-you in a personal and public way…BUT after recording all of the names I realize that there are 150 people who have made about 248 comments at the event wall!! That’s very exciting!!

Many of these comments are personal stories and insights, “failures” and statements of determined commitment.

Your comments have been SUCH a blessing to me and I am sure to others so THANK YOU so very much.

In these events the breakthroughs often come because of something shared by another participant. We all have pearls of wisdom to share.

I thank you so much for sharing with such care and thoughtfulness.

Here is what I suggest for today:

1)   If you haven’t, visit the wall and read some

2)   While there check out the links people have posted…great information!

3)   Much has been done with this concept of “No Complaining”… do a little research today. Visit a few websites…

Day 10 of 21 Days of No Complaining

Hello!!

We’re just about at the half way point of our journey together.

21 Days of NO COMPLAINING is most certainly a challenge, but it’s one we took on and if you’re reading this you deserve a great big pat on the back, a big hug, a thumbs up and many kudos. For real.

Even if you “failed” everyday – see event wall for a post on this point – you are STILL getting up the next morning at it again. THAT is the success to celebrate.

So here are the suggested activities for today:

1) Reflect on what you can fine tune about your daily participation in ‘NO COMPLAINING’ …what can you do better, starting with thoughts, intentions, plans, strategies, emotions, reactions and so forth?

2) Recommit to a new and approved approach to this event

3) Share your plan with somebody, anybody…

4) Give a compliment today to a person who REALLY needs one. So, go, look for that person…keep your eyes, ears and heart open.

5) Write in your journal…about steps 1 and 2 in particular.

I wish you all the very best I can imagine – and I have a VERY positive imagination! 🙂

Can I also ask that if you are a praying person, please keep this group and our plans in prayer. If you are not, please send all the positive energy you can muster whenever you think of this effort.

Hello!

I hope each and every one of you (1226 people doing this together!) is finding value in this experience.

The suggested activity today is:

1) Reflect on what you do to handle negative thoughts and energy from others

2) Share your strategy with someone today.

3) Ask someone you consider a ‘peaceful’ person – someone who handles challenges in a way you admire – “What do you do to remain at peace?”

Visit the event wall and take in the messages. You will be touched and blessed, believe me. 🙂

Oh — yesterday there was a typo — and # 6 — In place of every negative thought that COULD HAVE led to a compliment, breathe DEEPLY 3x and smile after each breath. So that’s 3 deep breaths and 3 smiles for each potential complaint. 🙂

Hello Everyone!

I hope this message finds you in the best of health. My suggestions for action steps today are offered in a spirit of fun: 🙂

Here they are:

1) Give 1 compliment to someone between the ages of toddler – 17
2) Give 1 compliment to a person over 65
3) Give 1 compliment to a stranger
4) Give 1 compliment to a someone you barely get along with
5) Give 1 compliment to the love of your life, your best friend or the person you are closest to.

Rules:

*No Overlapping
*No generalities – get very specific
*No lack of sincerity

and # 6 — In place of every negative thought that COULD HAVE led to a complaint, breathe DEEPLY 3x and smile after each breath. So that’s 3 deep breaths and 3 smiles for each potential complaint. 🙂

That’s it!

Have fun today, smile and if appropriate in your culture, make eye contact as you compliment. You will be brightening so many days or evenings!

Suggested Activities for today:

1) Identify one situation or person in your life that you consider a challenge or negative or bothersome….FIND one thing that is useful or positive about it or them.

2) Write about that one thing you thought about

3) Give out 5 compliments today – 1 to yourSELF, 1 to a family member, 1 to your closest friend in the whole world!, 1 to a person you work or learn with and 1 to a person at your place of worship or the community at large.

Make these compliments very specific and of course they must be completely sincere! 🙂

Wishing you all the best there is in life! I am so filled with love and appreciation for this group of people – a group of 1200+ of you have signed on to make a positive difference in the world by becoming aware of personal habits around negativity! How cool is that!!
