The Quick List – 10 “Selfish” Acts of Kindness

There are 5 Vital Venus of life: Self; Home; Relationships; Work/Business/School; Community/POW (place of worship.)

To life a whole and balanced life – no lopsided happiness or success – being engaged in these Five Vital Venues is essential.

The first venue is ‘self.’  Why?  Because we can’t be kind to others without first being kind to our self.  Like everything else in life.

Here are some suggestions

  1. Hug yourself
  2. Look at yourself in the mirror and say something nice
  3. FORGIVE yourself for ALL that you have failed to do
  4. FORGIVE yourself for ALL that you have done
  5. Buy yourself a small and symbolic token of appreciation…for being a wonderful and kind  person
  6. Take a few hours off from your routine and do something fun
  7. Read a book that lifts you up
  8. Call someone who you know LOVES you and ask them to tell you what they love most
  9. Sign up for a fun/hobby workshop
  10. Write yourself a gratitude note and place it on your bathroom mirror

Do as many acts of kindness for yourself as you can…and feel free to welcome and enjoy the kindness shown to you by others.  Very important!
